CFC - Carbonfiberreinforced Carbon
C/C the ideal material in high-temperature applications
CFRC or C/C (carbon fibre-reinforced carbon) is a high-strength composite material consisting of a carbon or graphite matrix and reinforcing carbon fibres. Thanks to the use of carbon fibres, it is a heat-resistant material which can be used in inert gas or vacuum furnaces at temperatures up to and above 2000°C. It has a very low tendency to creep.
